INTEL2TALENT IS PROUD TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE WOMEN’S Y FOUNDATION (Y DES FEMMES) FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN: (RE)BUILDING FOR WOMEN, IN ORDER TO DEPLOY A PLAN FOR THE FUTURE SO THAT WOMEN AND GIRLS IN MONTREAL HAVE A BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE IN AN EQUAL AND INCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENT. AND NON-VIOLENT CITY.

To date, $8.2M has been raised towards a $10M goal for better access to education, better jobs in male-dominated sectors, permanent affordable housing, transitional housing, reception, transition, listening and referral services; this, in a new establishment in the Ville-Marie borough.

Marc Hervieux as Executive Director of the Conservatoire de musique et d’art dramatique du Québec

MONIQUE F. LEROUX, CHAIR OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CONSERVATOIRE DE MUSIQUE ET D’ART DRAMATIQUE DU QUÉBEC, IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE APPOINTMENT OF MARC HERVIEUX AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE CONSERVATOIRE.

A tenor artist who graduated from the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal in 1997, Mr. Hervieux has distinguished himself on some of the greatest stages in Canada and the world, from Montreal to Paris, via New York, Seoul, Vancouver, Metz, St-Paul/Minneapolis, Malaga, Taiwan and many others. Well known in Quebec, particularly for his participation in several musical events, Mr. Hervieux also works as a host on CBC’s French radio stations: ICI Première, ICI Musique and ICI Musique Classique.

Winner of several prizes and scholarships, including Opéra de Montréal’s Diana-Soviero Prize, the Charles-Émile-Gadbois Foundation Scholarship, the Gautier-Létourneau Scholarship, as well as the Jacqueline-Desmarais Foundation Scolarship for three consecutive years, Marc Hervieux has recorded more than ten albums, including three gold records and received three Félix.

“Marc Hervieux’s profile will allow him to successfully occupy the position of director of the Conservatoire. He is an exceptional person recognized for his artistic vision, his mobilizing leadership and his ability to communicate and inspire. I am convinced that Mr. Hervieux will help attract the best talent and forge meaningful relationships and partnerships. Mr. Hervieux will work to make the Conservatoire an even more open, dynamic, and accessible environment,” said Mrs. Leroux.

As soon as he takes up his position on August 22nd, Mr. Hervieux will be able to count on a team of dedicated and committed managers, and on very high-level teachers. Together, they will work to ensure the influence of the institution in order to position the Conservatoire as a unique place of training, offering the highest quality education and distinguishing itself from other institutions by its distinctive offer.

Appointed for a period of five years, Mr. Hervieux will contribute to the development of the institution through his extensive experience and creative spirit.
